Maintenance plan
A prepaid schedule of oil changes, rotations, and inspections — convenience and record-keeping, never repair coverage.
Part of the Exclusions & limits cluster.
What it means
A maintenance plan pre-pays for scheduled services — oil changes, tire rotations, filters, inspections — over a set term. Some manufacturers include a short complimentary plan with new vehicles; longer plans are sold separately.
Why it matters
Maintenance records protect your warranty claims, and a plan makes those records automatic. But a plan pays for upkeep, never for repairs — they are different budgets with different documents.
What it is NOT
It is not a warranty, not an extended service contract, and not coverage for anything that breaks — it funds the services your booklet requires you to perform.
