Remaining warranty
What is left of each coverage right now — months remaining, miles remaining, whichever runs out first. A per-family number.
Part of the Claims & money cluster.
What it means
Remaining warranty is the time and distance left on each coverage family, calculated from the in-service date and the current odometer. It is a per-family number: a car can have months of powertrain left and zero basic coverage.
Why it matters
Remaining warranty is the number that decides whether a repair is worth doing at the dealer. Tracking it per family — not as one date — is the point of a coverage dashboard.
What it is NOT
It is not a promise of free repairs (exclusions apply), not automatically transferable to a new owner, and not the same as the vehicle’s age.
