Owner’s manual supplement
A companion booklet covering one topic in depth — towing, tires, emissions, hybrid/EV operation — carrying rules the main manual omits.
Part of the Documents & law cluster.
What it means
An owner’s manual supplement is a separate booklet detailing a specific system or topic — for example the towing guide, tire warranty, emissions coverage, or hybrid and EV operation. It carries rules and numbers the main manual does not repeat.
Why it matters
Coverage details hide in supplements — emissions terms, tire proration, and battery capacity language often live there. When a claim is disputed, the supplement is part of the documentation set the answer gets checked against.
What it is NOT
It is not a marketing booklet, not an accessories catalog, and not superseded by the main manual — when they differ on the supplement’s topic, the supplement governs.
