Roadside assistance
A companion program for towing, lockouts, jump-starts, and flat tires — usually term-limited, and separate from repair coverage.
Part of the Coverage types cluster.
What it means
Roadside assistance covers help when the car is stranded: towing, battery jump-start, flat-tire change, lockout service, and fuel delivery. New vehicles often include it for a limited term; it can sometimes be extended or purchased separately.
Why it matters
Roadside terms expire earlier than people expect, and using the program does not affect your warranty. Knowing the end date avoids paying out of pocket for a tow you assumed was covered.
What it is NOT
It is not repair coverage — it gets the car to the shop, it does not pay for the repair. It is also not insurance and not a warranty.
